Oh this time of year...
The sun is shining, the breeze is warm, and new residents are moving in. Above all else, a song is in the air...
...the song of the sororities celebrating rush weeks.
I'd forgotten how terribly annoying these two or three weeks of the year are. I would hang myself from the balcony but it just makes so much more sense to hang the screeching fiends...

Hey Ho Brother mine.
I presume this is something similar to the joys of freshers weak though we don't have sororities. I have tried to foster a benign indulgence toward the whole thing. After all it will (Gods willing) be an annual feature of my entire working life ...whiskey helps. However, I do understand that all that sugary hopefulness and potential and youthful niavity is like any surfeit of sweetness, nauseating.
sugary hopefulness, sweet naivete...
If I'd said fraternities, would you have responded the same way?
They sing songs about their sisterhood set to the Coca-Cola jingle. A good dozen times a day. This isn't a surfeit of sweetness... it's PURE EVIL.
;)
I may not have used that precise language if you had said fraternities but I view all undergraduates with the same general attitude. They are over excitable, bouncy, arrogant and fatuous and I wouldn't change a thing about them they are why I love my work. Jingles are on the other hand an abomination unto nuggin and must be punished.
I love the new look. very green and comforting.
<3 undergrads. Particularly New College undergrads. They are a glory unto Nuggan.
